Privacy policy

Your financial data
ledgr stores your ledger on your own device (browser storage), encrypted at rest when you use a vault password. We do not receive, host, or sell your balances, instruments, or backups. Encrypted backups you export are files you control.
Analytics we may use
If configured for this deployment, we use privacy-oriented tools to understand traffic and product usage:
- Umami (optional, often self-hosted): page views and simple event counts; open source and can run on the same server as the site. See Umami's privacy policy.
- Plausible Analytics (optional): aggregated page views; see Plausible's privacy policy.
- PostHog (optional): product events (for example when you create an entry or export a backup); often with an anonymous ID in your browser. See PostHog's privacy information.
None of these receive your vault password or decrypted ledger. If analytics are not configured, no analytics scripts are loaded from those tools.
Server logs
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site may keep standard access logs (for example IP address, user agent, URL, and time). Those logs are used for security and operations, not sold.
Your choices
You can block third-party scripts in your browser; the app may still work for local use. If you are in the EU/UK and applicable law requires consent for non-essential analytics, you should present a consent banner before enabling those tools in production.
Questions: contact the site operator for this deployment.
